Welcome to my cottage world! Folks call me Debbie. Elizabeth Leigh
is the name I gave the creative side of myself when I was 16
(that was 40 years ago!). Under that name, I've penned and published
eight historical romance novels and co-authored one other. When I needed an eBay ID,
Elizabeth Leigh seemed perfect. The name rings with romantic
elegance, and that's the look I strive for in my one-of-a-kind
creations. I learned to sew at my grandmother's knee, and I'll
never forget all the wonderful things she made for her own cottage
and later for the bedroom we shared when she came to live with us
– slipcovers, embroidered pillowcases, curtains, quilts, and pillows.
She taught me well, but she also instilled in me a love for all things
vintage. Vintage fabrics (especially barkcloth and faille), laces, and
buttons are my passion, and I try to use something vintage in
everything I make. I always strive for quality and guarantee that
you’ll be pleased with any handmade item you buy from me or I'll refund your money, no questions asked.
